I’ve mentioned this before in my Napa Vlog and Dominican Republic Vlog, but I’m starting to take my blog in a new direction. I’m heading a little bit away from simply being a fashion blog, and wanting to include Jay more and hopefully become more of a lifestyle blog. Why? Well, because there’s more to me and my life than just cute clothes. And I just so happen to have an amazing husband and we live a fun life, and the thought of sharing that with you guys a little bit more excites me! And don’t I want to be an excited blogger?
All of that to say, today I’m sharing a funny little video with you guys about “How To Host a Watching Party – “The Bachelor” Edition” because Jay and I actually enjoy watching shows together and we have a fun group of friends that enjoy watching it as well. We always switch off on who hosts each week and I’m assuming we’re not the only group of friends that does this. On this particular week, we ended up not getting together with our group (womp womp), which led us to create a funny video instead. Spoiler alert: Jay didn’t actually forget to invite people!
So whether you’re hosting a watching party for “The Bachelor”, or really any other show on TV, this video and our little tips truly are helpful!
HOW TO HOST A WATCHING PARTY || “THE BACHELOR” EDITION
*See our video for a full explanation of each step. But here’s a recap:
STEP 1 || CLEAN THE HOUSE… AS A TEAM!
Even if you’re not OCD like me, it’s still nice to pick up your house a bit before friends come over. Am I right? (And PS, Jay actually does help me pick up, but sometimes I’m a little more nitpicky than he is, so he’s over it!)
STEP 2 || RECORD THE SHOW
You never know if someone’s going to be late or if you’ll need to pause it or if you’ll need to re-watch a section of the show over and over and over again. So just in case, be prepared and record it.
STEP 3 || ESTABLISH A DRESS CODE
I know, it sounds silly, but there are some serious TV-show-watchers out there. Some people love their shows so much that they dress up like the characters. However, some people like to just chill in their PJs with mud masks, so make sure your guests know what to expect.
STEP 4 || SNACKS!
No explanation needed. You can never go wrong with snacks. Especially from Trader Joe’s.
STEP 5 || PREPARE SOME GAMES
If you Google or Pinterest your TV show’s name and the word “games”, I guarantee you that you’ll find some fun ideas! I gave you two ideas/websites for The Bachelor in the video!
STEP 6 || INVITE YOUR FRIENDS
Duh. What’s a party without your friends? Jay recommends Facebook events or group texts!
What do you guys think of our “How to Host a Watching Party” video? Anything else you’d add? And does anyone else unashamedly love The Bachelor as much as us?! Let me know in the comments!
