Valentine’s Day Outfit & Date Ideas
How is it almost Valentine’s Day?! Anyone else already slacking on their goals for 2016? Oops. Well, to make us all feel better, today I’m sharing a Valentine’s Day outfit & date ideas!
First up, is a super gorgeous and super affordable Valentine’s look. I’m seriously obsessed with this dress and told Jay that I sure hope he’s taking me somewhere nicer for dinner because even if we’re just going to In-N-Out Burger, I’m totally wearing this!

DAY DATES:
- Go on an adventure || If you’re adventurous people (or even if you’re not but want to change things up), consider doing something active & outside. A hike, a bike ride, walking your dog somewhere new. Just get outside and get moving!
- Brunch || Brunch is my absolute favorite meal, but we very rarely go grab it because it messes up the rest of your meals for the day! Treat yourself on Valentine’s Day (and avoid some of that crazy dinner rush) and find the highest rated brunch spot in your area on Yelp!
- Shopping day || Haven’t gotten each other gifts yet? Set a price range for y’all’s gifts, go to your city’s biggest/most fun mall, and shop together for each other’s presents! Take your time. Walk around holding hands. Stop at the food court for really unhealthy snacks. The sky’s the limit!
STAYING IN:
- Cook dinner together || Go to the grocery store together for the purpose of getting only the items you’ll need for your romantic dinner (this shouldn’t be your normal grocery shopping for toilet paper… so not romantic!). Once you get home, enjoy the cooking experience together and take turns doing jobs! The meal will taste so much better because it’s cooked with love 🙂
- Cocktail-making || Love cocktails? Find some recipes for drinks you’ve been wanting to try and pick everything up at the store. You can even grab some non-ingredients and have a cocktail-making competition. Whoever makes the most tasty drink gets a foot rub!
- Movie night || Rock-paper-scissors for who gets to choose the movie for that night. Be sure to put your phones away and, of course, snuggle up together.
GOING OUT:
- Dinner at that restaurant you’ve been dying to try || There’s no better time to save up to eat out at that highly-rated restaurant you’ve been eyeing for months. Go all out this V-Day!
- A different kind of dinner || Never been to a hibachi grill? Do it! What about a fondue place? Or Korean barbecue? Valentine’s Day would be such a fun time to try one out!
- Drive-in movie || You’ll need to make sure that there’s one around you, but drive-in movies are SO FUN! If there’s one within driving distance, it’s definitely worth it. Bring some of your favorite movie snacks and blankets for snuggling up.
What other fun Valentine’s Day dates have y’all done? I’d love some more recommendations in the comments!
