As of this past Sunday, Advent is in full swing! So I wanted to share some of my favorite Advent devotionals and readings with y’all.
Lately, I’ve felt convicted to start moving my blog in a different direction and to start sharing more of my daily life on the blog (beyond just my outfits). I’ve been brainstorming some ways to do that, and what better time to start sharing more with you guys than right now with Advent season upon us?!
While Christmas time is oh-so fun with the lights, songs, and presents, there’s so much more to the season! And because I got such a great response from my Devotional Apps & Bible Studies for Women post a few months back, I wanted to continue sharing the things I’m reading to grow my relationship with God as well as share a few of my favorite resources that explain this season way better than I ever could… Hence this Advent devotionals post!
For those of you that are unsure what Advent is, you’re not alone! I didn’t grow up knowing about Advent and have only recently (in the past few years or so) started learning more about it in-depth and rejoicing in it. If that’s similar to your story (or even if you have no idea what it is at all!), then I’d recommend reading the introductions of the devotionals listed below to learn more about it. My prayer for you would be that God speaks to you through the devotionals, reveals Himself to you, and allows you to fully celebrate His perfect fulfillment of His promises!
If you’ve grown up around Advent, then my prayer for you would be for a renewed joy this season as you read through one of these devotionals!
Jay and I are going to be reading through the first guide listed below from our previous home church in Dallas. But all three are amazing devotionals for families or church groups to read together, so I encourage you to choose one to read through this year and hope you find them helpful!
